Requirements for Registration

  1. Every member must use their own Mobile Phone, both smart phones and physical keypad phones are supported.
  2. Ensure you have at least KES 3 airtime for the process.
  3. The registration process works on both Safaricom and Airtel networks.

1. Initiate the Registration Process

  1. Dial *509# on your phone.
  2. Select Reviewed and follow the prompts to enter your details as directed.(First Name as it appears on your ID and your ID number will be needed)
  3. You will receive a PIN from ORPP_KENYA (Office of the Registrar of Political Parties) via text message.

2: Confirm Resignation from Current Party (if applicable) and Resign IF NOT KDC

  1. Dial *509# again.
  2. Enter the PIN received from ORPP_KENYA.
  3. Select Membership and choose the option to Resign if you are already a member of a different party.

3: Join Kenya Democracy For Change (KDC)

  1. Dial *509# again.
  2. Select Join Another Party.
  3. Choose your County, Constituency, and Ward using their respective codes as directed.
  4. Type the Party Abbreviation: KDC as directed.
  5. Note the Party Code: 821
  6. Follow the remaining instructions to complete the process.
